FRUIT- A fruit is described as a substance that grows on a plant or a tree that contains seeds and is fit to eat. Various fruits have their rich benefits and come in a variety of different tastes and textures. Some are sweet, some are sour and fleshy. There is a wide variety of fruits that exist on the globe, some are rare and others common in a certain part of the world. Adequate intake of fruits forms an important part of a healthy diet for an individual. A person is termed as healthy and full of energy and power if they consume a colorful plate of fruits as they are the power source of nutrients, vitamins, and calcium. It is also seen that low/ irregular fruit intake for a human body constitutes the risk factor and is the birthplace for many chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. It is the biggest myth in 90% of the generation that a diabetic patient cannot intake fruits on daily basis rather a healthy platter of fruits helps one in fighting diabetes.

Here is a list of fruits that a diabetic patient can intake on regular basis:

CHERRY- CHERRIES ARE PACKED WITH Nutrients. Cherries are small stone-like fruit that comes in different colors and flavors. There are mostly two categories of cherries:

A. Tart Cherries

B. Sweet Cherries.

Their appearance varies with colors and size i.e. from yellow to deep blackish-red. Both varieties of cherries are highly nutritious and packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals that help keep the digestive system healthy by fueling in beneficial gut bacteria and also promotes bowel regularity.

ORANGES- Oranges, as soon as we hear oranges we know it is a fruit rich in Vitamin C. An orange a day provides 78 % of the vitamin C to the body. It is a citrus, juicy fruit that helps in managing the perfect water content in the body.

BERRIES- Berries come in various variety which include strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

Whether they are strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or any other type of berry, all the berries are diabetic-friendly because they are packed with antioxidants and fiber. Berries help in improving blood sugar levels and insulin response. Human studies suggest that berries may protect your cells from high blood sugar levels and also help in increasing insulin sensitivity, and reduce blood sugar and insulin response to high-carb meals.

APRICOT- Apricots are a sweet summer fruit staple and a wonderful addition to your platter if you are diabetic. Apricots are also a good source of fiber. For amazing taste, try mixing some fine chopped fresh apricots into hot or cold cereal, or toss some in a salad and cherish it.

KIWI- Kiwi is a smart addition to your diabetes-friendly diet. Kiwis are easily available year-round fruit and last in the refrigerator for up to seven days. Kiwi also helps in reducing blood pressure, boost wound healing, help maintain bowel health. Kiwi fruit also promotes better sleep, kidney stone prevention, and cancer prevention.
